Community Guidelines

Guidelines of Our Community

Welcome to the QERWA community, where your voice matters! We invite you to share your views, ideas, and concerns, and join us in driving positive change in our community. While we encourage open discussion and dialogue, we also value respect and consideration for our diverse members.

To ensure a harmonious and inclusive environment, we kindly ask all members to adhere to the following rules:

Promoting Inclusiveness

While we respect individual beliefs and practices, we ask that discussions about religion be conducted with sensitivity and inclusivity, avoiding any form of proselytizing or promotion of religious ideologies. Let's embrace diversity and celebrate our differences respectfully.

No Profanity

We believe in maintaining a respectful and professional tone in all our interactions. Please refrain from using offensive language or profanity that may cause discomfort or offence to others in the community.

Avoiding Spam

The aim is to build an effective moderation system, one that fosters promotion of local businesses, talent, skills, and opportunities while maintaining focus on community discussions. To achieve this balance, all promotional content or advertisements will undergo a moderation process before posting. This will ensure that our discussions remain community-driven and centred on relevant topics, while also providing space for valuable contributions from our members.

Respectful Communication

Treat all members with kindness, courtesy, and respect, regardless of differing opinions or perspectives. Personal attacks, harassment, or bullying will not be tolerated.

Confidentiality And Privacy

Respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow members and refrain from sharing personal information without consent. Be mindful of the confidentiality of discussions and avoid disclosing sensitive information publicly.

By following these guidelines, we can create a welcoming and inclusive community where everyone feels valued and respected. Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to your meaningful contributions to our community!
At QERWA, fostering a cohesive and harmonious community is crucial. This page explores common challenges faced by associations, effective communication strategies, and the stages of group development, offering insights into how we create a strong and engaged community.

How To Avoid Pitfalls Of Public Deliberation

Common Challenges Faced by Association

  • Free Riders: In any community association like QERWA, some members may not actively participate in meetings or contribute to initiatives, creating an additional workload for others.
  • Attributions and Misattributions: Misunderstandings can occur when members make incorrect assumptions about their neighbors' actions or intentions, leading to friction within the community.
  • Role Management: Clear roles and responsibilities are crucial for smooth functioning. Without them, there can be confusion, inefficiency, and overlapping tasks.

Benefits of Community Engagement

  • Increased Productivity: When residents collaborate, it fosters efficient problem-solving and leads to innovative solutions for community issues.
  • Diverse Perspectives: QERWA benefits from a mix of ideas and experiences, which enriches decision-making and creates a more inclusive environment.
  • Improved Decision-Making: Engaging with a variety of voices within the community leads to better-informed decisions, benefiting everyone.

Effective Communication and Empathy within the Association

  • Empathy: QERWA promotes a culture of empathy, encouraging members to appreciate different viewpoints and respect each other’s experiences.
  • Listening: We advocate active listening during meetings and discussions to ensure all residents have a platform to voice their opinions.
  • Conflict Resolution: Developing constructive strategies to resolve conflicts helps maintain harmony within the association.

Building Cohesion and Group Norms

  • Group Norms: Establishing clear guidelines for interactions within QERWA fosters a positive and cooperative environment for everyone.
  • Group Cohesion: By building a strong sense of community and trust among members through regular meetings and events, QERWA encourages greater participation and unity.

Stages of Group Development

  • Forming: The initial phase where QERWA members meet, get to know each other, and define roles.
  • Storming: As roles are established, conflicts may arise. QERWA aims to manage these through open dialogue and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Norming: This is where QERWA develops clear structures and operational norms, creating a cohesive environment.
  • Performing: At this stage, the group is effective, working towards common goals and engaging in meaningful community initiatives.
  • Adjourning: As the group achieves its objectives, QERWA reflects on its accomplishments, ensuring proper documentation and planning for the future.

By focusing on these aspects, QERWA strives to create a harmonious and effective association that encourages active participation and fosters a strong sense of community among its members.
