After a wide-ranging interview by officials of Haryana Urban Development Authority (Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran), DLF Qutab Enclave Residents’ Welfare Association (QERWA) was allotted a 900 square yards plot in N Block of DLF Qutab Enclave Phase II in 2001-2002.

Considerable thought and planning went into the design and construction of a grand temple. It was named Gauri Shankar Mandir. A managing committee runs the temple under the aegis of DLF Qutab Enclave Residents’ Welfare Association.

A residents’ welfare association (RWA) rarely owns a temple. QERWA is unique in this respect. Residents from all over the township offer their obeisance, and seek blessings, at the temple every day. Religious ceremonies are held regularly.

The temple is a boon to the residents of DLF Qutab Enclave. They don’t need to travel long distances to offer prayers. They have a large temple right in the middle of their township.
